January 2024

As part of its ongoing humanitarian response to support affected families, the Palestinian Commission for Environment, Development, and Empowerment (PCED) implemented a food parcel distribution project in January 2024, targeting hundreds of vulnerable households in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP).

The initiative involved the distribution of food parcels containing essential items sufficient to meet a family’s basic nutritional needs for one month. Priority was given to the most vulnerable groups, including displaced families and those suffering from severe food insecurity in areas heavily impacted by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

The distribution process was carried out with full adherence to standards of transparency and integrity, while preserving the dignity of beneficiaries. Local councils and community members were engaged in the coordination process to ensure equitable and fair access.

This partnership with the World Food Programme reflects our shared commitment to strengthening food security and enhancing community resilience, especially in light of the growing challenges facing Palestinian families.
