As part of its emergency humanitarian response, the Palestinian Civil Society Organisation for Environment and Development (PCED) carried out an emergency intervention on Thursday, 2 May 2024, to support a disabled war victim, a young displaced man who lost his leg as a result of a direct injury during the aggression and who lives in one of the displacement camps in the southern Gaza Strip.
The intervention included providing a wheelchair and medical mattresses, as well as urgent food and health assistance, with the aim of alleviating his daily suffering and facilitating his movement within the difficult camp environment.
The Authority’s team emphasised that this intervention reflects its commitment to standing by the most vulnerable groups, especially people with disabilities, who face exceptional challenges amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
The Authority continues its efforts to provide humanitarian support to war victims, in cooperation with its local and international partners, ensuring the dignity of beneficiaries and enhancing their ability to adapt to harsh conditions.
