As part of the ongoing partnership between The Palestinian Commission for Environment and Development and ANERA: Distribution of fresh vegetable baskets to displaced persons in Gaza

27 September 2024

As part of the ongoing partnership between the Palestinian Commission for Environment and Development and Anera, a new relief activity was carried out on Friday, 27 September 2024, during which baskets of fresh vegetables were distributed to hundreds of displaced families in various areas of the Gaza Strip.

This humanitarian intervention targeted a number of shelters and residential areas crowded with displaced persons, amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis resulting from the aggression on Gaza. The baskets contained a variety of basic vegetables to meet the nutritional needs of families and promote a healthy diet.

The Authority emphasised that this activity is part of its emergency response to support food security for affected groups, noting that the provision of fresh vegetables is essential for maintaining the health of displaced families, especially children and the elderly.

The Authority praised the fruitful and ongoing cooperation with ANERA, which has resulted in a series of qualitative interventions over the past months, affirming the commitment of both sides to continue working to alleviate human suffering and expand the scope of assistance during the coming phase.
