As part of humanitarian efforts to support displaced families during the holy month of Ramadan, the Palestinian Civil Society Organisation for Environment and Development (PCED) carried out an activity in April 2024 to distribute cartons of dates to displaced families in the Rafah governorate, in partnership with the Emirates Red Crescent.

The activity targeted hundreds of affected families living in shelters and displacement camps, where high-quality dates were distributed, contributing to meeting their nutritional needs during this holy month.

This intervention came amid increasing numbers of displaced persons and deteriorating living conditions, with the Authority seeking to provide qualitative and continuous support to the most needy groups through its partnerships with donors.

The distribution was carried out in an organised manner and in coordination with local authorities to ensure fair access to beneficiaries and preserve their dignity.
