Palestinian Civil Society Organisation and Agricultural Relief distribute food aid to displaced persons in Gaza

27 July 2024

On Saturday, 27 July 2024, the Palestinian Civil Society Organisation for Environment and Development (PCED), in cooperation with the Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committee (PARC), carried out a new relief activity that included the distribution of bags of flour and food parcels provided by the World Food Programme to hundreds of displaced families affected by the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip.

The distribution targeted a number of shelters and areas housing internally displaced persons in an attempt to meet some of their basic needs amid severe food shortages and difficulty in accessing supplies.

The Civil Society Organisation emphasised that this activity is part of a series of humanitarian interventions aimed at supporting the resilience of displaced families, noting that cooperation with Agricultural Relief and the World Food Programme represents a model of integration in relief work in light of the emergency conditions in the Strip.

The Authority also called for continued humanitarian and relief support for affected citizens and urgent action to lift the blockade and allow humanitarian aid to enter without hindrance.
