The Palestinian Civil Society Organisation and ANERA distribute food parcels to displaced persons affected by the war

27 June 2024

On Thursday, 27 June 2024, the Palestinian Civil Society Organisation for Environment and Development (PCED), in cooperation with the American Near East Relief Agency (Anera), carried out a humanitarian activity aimed at distributing hot meals consisting of rice and chicken to hundreds of families displaced by the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.

This activity is part of joint efforts to provide urgent relief support to families affected by the military escalation. The meals were distributed in a number of shelters and areas crowded with displaced persons to meet some of their daily needs amid difficult living conditions and food insecurity.

Those in charge of the activity emphasised that this initiative comes in response to the humanitarian emergency and aims to alleviate the suffering of displaced persons and strengthen their resilience, confirming the continued coordination between the Palestinian Civil Society Organisation and ANERA to implement further relief interventions in the coming period.
