The Palestinian Civil Society Organisation for Environment and Development (PCED), in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Centre, carried out a humanitarian activity on 9 March 2025, distributing ‘dignity bags’ as part of efforts to support women and girls affected by the current humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
The distribution targeted a number of displaced women residing in shelters and marginalised areas. The dignity bags contained basic health and personal hygiene supplies to meet the daily needs of women and preserve their privacy and dignity in difficult circumstances.
This activity comes within the framework of ongoing cooperation between PCED and the Women’s Affairs Centre, and the keenness of both institutions to respond to the emergency needs of women and vulnerable groups, especially in light of the worsening humanitarian crisis caused by ongoing aggression and forced displacement.
The participants emphasised the importance of this aid and its role in alleviating their daily suffering, while PCED stressed that it would continue its humanitarian efforts in partnership with women’s organisations to strengthen women’s resilience and ensure their rights and dignity.
