The Palestinian Civil Society Organisation for Environment and Development (PCED) distributes food parcels to female cancer patients in partnership with the Emirates Red Crescent
The Palestinian Civil Society Organisation for Environment and Development (PCED), in partnership with the Emirates Red Crescent, carried out a humanitarian activity aimed at distributing food parcels to a number of women with cancer in the Gaza Strip during April 2025, as part of its ongoing response to the emergency needs of the most vulnerable groups.
This activity comes amid the worsening humanitarian and living conditions faced by patients as a result of the ongoing aggression, accompanied by a deterioration in health services and a severe shortage of basic materials, making their support a top humanitarian priority.
The food parcels contained basic items to support the daily nutritional needs of patients and their families. They were distributed in a manner that preserved dignity and took into account the health and psychological conditions of the beneficiaries, in coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure that they reached those entitled to them.
In a statement, the Authority emphasised that this intervention comes in the context of strengthening solidarity with patients and the most vulnerable groups in society, praising the role of the Emirates Red Crescent in supporting the resilience of the Palestinian people, especially women, in the face of the effects of war and disease.
