The Palestinian Civil Society Organisation for Environment and Development (PCED) is running two workshops on psychological support in partnership with the Women’s Affairs Centre.
The Palestinian Civil Society Organisation for Environment and Development (PCED), in partnership with the Women’s Affairs Centre, held two psychological support workshops in April 2025, targeting women and girls who were displaced and affected by the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip, as part of joint efforts to promote psychological and social cohesion in emergency situations.
The workshops highlighted psychological coping mechanisms, methods of adapting to trauma, and managing stress and anxiety through interactive sessions led by psychological and social specialists, providing a safe space for participants to express their feelings and experiences.
The workshops aimed to alleviate the psychological effects of war and forced displacement, strengthen women’s resilience, and empower them to overcome daily pressures, thereby contributing to the protection of the fabric of the family and society.
The Authority emphasised the importance of continuing such psychological interventions in light of increasing needs, noting that psychological support is no less important than humanitarian and relief support, especially in an environment fraught with challenges and repeated trauma.
The two workshops received positive feedback from the participants, who expressed their satisfaction with the moral support and practical tools provided by the sessions to deal with difficult circumstances.
