The Palestinian Civil Society Organization for Environment and Development (PCED) organizes a medical day in cooperation with Caritas Jerusalem

January 2025

The Palestinian Civil Society Organization for Environment and Development (PCED), in cooperation with Caritas Jerusalem, organized a free medical day in January 2025, targeting affected families and displaced persons in the southern Gaza Strip, with the aim of providing primary health care and alleviating the medical burden on citizens in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions.

The medical day included examinations and consultations in various specialties such as general medicine, pediatrics, and gynecology, in addition to the free distribution of essential medicines to beneficiaries.

The activity was very well received by the residents, who expressed their gratitude for this initiative, which met some of their health needs amid the near-total collapse of the medical system.

PCED confirmed that this activity is part of its emergency interventions to strengthen the resilience of the population, in partnership with civil society organizations and international supporters, foremost among them Caritas Jerusalem, which plays a pivotal role in supporting humanitarian and medical efforts in the Gaza Strip.
